So, it's been a long week. Last week, for the start of my vacation my oldest pet cat died, my computer went blammo (requiring a full wipe/reinstall), my jeep went screwy (requiring a $600 tuneup), I backed into a new car at a car dealership while taking my mom car-shopping because I was driving her crap-mobile (requiring some god-awful expensive repair, I'm sure....details will be forthcoming), and I got ridiculously drunk at an office party and told a lot of people exactly what I think of them. Oh, and I passed out in the woods on the side of the road for 3 hours. GAMES Well, let's see..... other details. I'm playing Tales of Symphonia for GC right now. It's a pretty good game, entertaining and all. The game is about a party of people journeying to the Tower of Salvation to restore the world's magic, standard fare - however, I just completed the quest and went to the tower, where I got my ass kicked by angels. Apparently after 25+ hours of playing the game, I'm now halfway through the storyline. Greeeaaaat. I had forgotten why I don't really play RPGs - my attention span isn't that long. I've got a few half-finished games sitting around the house right now - Project Snowblind, Jade Empire...actually, I think all the games at my house are half-finished. Except Baiten Kaitos, which I haven't even started.
A friend of mine just picked up Burnout Revenge for ps2 - I loved burnout 3, and after playing revenge I have to say - way to take a good game, do like 3 tiny things to it, and repackage it with a new name. Hey, maybe you can put out son of pac-man next, and give the guy a bow-tie or something? Anything to squeeze 50 bucks out of the consumer. MOVIES I just started the series 'Firefly' today at work. I know I'm several years behind the curve on this one, but I am (so far) addicted to it. Ooh, and 'Lost' starts again this week. Shiny. Hmm, what else? Aqua Teen Hunger Force vol. 4 comes out in December, and I still need to buy a copy of Old Boy. I tried several weeks ago to pick it up at Best Buy, but they were all sold out. Bastards. MUSIC My ipod can kiss my ass. I've been listening to the new Fallout Boy cd, and 2 Mitch Hedberg standups. It's a shame Mitch decided to ..... you know, die. As a tribute to Mitch, I will leave you with my own Mitch-ism- 'I'm always nervous about going to sleep, because I may go to sleep and never wake up. There's two types of people that go to sleep and never wake up - Sleeping Beauty, and dead people. And I ain't that pretty.' Maybe I will write more later. Maybe not. Fuck it. Critical |
